Welcome to BYU College of Life Sciences.
To help with a smooth transition into BYU and your new position here are some things we need from you to get you started off on the right foot and ready to go with a computer.
Purchasing a Computer
First and foremost, talk to your business manager to determine which computer you will be using/purchasing and fill out the following form.
Order a new computer here
To complete the set up process for your computers, you need to make sure that you have completed HR and they have set up your position and you have started working. This will add you to our system where we can grant you access to your new computer.
We often contact you when we are setting up your computer and need this information.**

**This information should have been sent in the computer request form.
Once you have access we will be able to contact you for computer installation and setup.
When buying a new computer make sure to keep the following in mind.

- Speakers
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Display
- Docking station
Printers
We have printers* that are available for use to all faculty and staff.
*For Faculty and staff in the LSB these printers are located in room 4004
If you are requesting a personal printer talk with your business manager about getting approval.
Purchasing a Computer
As per LSIT Policy we (LSIT) do not provide computers to adjunct faculty members. You will have to talk with your department Business Manager for any purchases and to know which computer you will be using.

As per LSIT policy, we do not provide computers or printers to Student Employees. Please contact your full-timer that you are under in order to receive a computer. They will be able to provide more information on how to receive a computer.
