GRO

Group Management System

In the past, you would have needed to contact LSIT when you needed to add or remove students from your student group, but with GRO you are able to manage your student group directly!

To use GRO, navigate to gro.byu.edu and select “Groups I Administer” on the top row. There, you will see your student group. To edit its members, select the group and click “Edit Members”. You will then be presented with a list of students in your student group. As students come and go, you may now edit their access directly without needing to wait for LSIT. As you are managing student groups, please keep the following security policies in mind:

  • Never add users you don’t know.
  • Use the expiration feature to automatically remove students no later than their graduation date.
  • Remember to remove users who are no longer employed.

Please note that your current students are set to expire in 1 year. If they anticipate being employed beyond that date, please change the expiration date in GRO, or contact LSIT and we can help you to do so.
