Adding a photo to a dynamic list & gallery pages
Upload & add a tag to a photo (or remove)
Adding a photo to a dynamic list can be used for photo galleries. In order to use this you will need to create a new tag and add that to a dynamic list

Gallery pages allow you to store photos and format them however you want - See how to style Gallery pages
- Click the BYU logo in the top left to navigate to the brightspot home page
- Select a photo to upload (download if needed and rename to something you will remember)
Drag this photo over to the “Upload” box and drop the file
*The image below was downloaded from byuphotos.com
- Then this page will open>>
- Fill out the following fields
(photos from photos.byu.edu have information that comes with them even when it doesn’t show)
- Alt Text
- Caption
- Credit
- Source
- Copyright notice (if needed)
- Add a tag
*For this example I will be using the Photo Contest 2022 tag. You will need a tag previously created in order to add a photo
Check if the photo is added
- Go to the dynamic list that the tag you used is located.
- This example is under the photo contest of 2022 (Life Science site)
- Scroll down to see the Tag
Removing Photos from Gallery Pages/ Removing tags from Photos
- Go to the search bar - the photo should show up
- Type in the photo that you added
- Remove the tag
- or Archive the whole photo by selecting the three dots on the top right
